Job descriptionRooms patients using the standard rooming procedure in a timely manner to assure optimal patient flow and to meet customer service standards. Performs clinical tasks including, but not limited to : Point of care testing, medication and vaccination administration, application of durable medical equipment, phlebotomy, and assist with procedures per protocol. Completes administrative duties such as : medication refills per protocol, prior authorizations, communicating normal results, handling of MyChart messages and incoming and outgoing paperwork within the standard turnaround time. Assists with support scheduling functionalities and referral facilitation tracking per clinic guidelines. Provides and review with the patient appropriate educational materials, instructions and, After Visit Summaries as directed per clinic guidelines. Utilizes EMR to document all patient care accurately, professionally and timely, including level of service where applicable per policy and clinic guidelines. Escalates situations of compliance risk or patient safety concerns to proper member(s) of the care team and / or leadership in a timely manner. Performs pre-visit planning and registry management per clinic guidelines. -Follows all safety and infection control standards to provide safe patient care and a safe work environment. Supports inventory control and maintenance of equipment. May be responsible for specialty specific clinical tasks and non clinical duties within the Medical Assistant scope as directed by department leader. Consent Documentation : May obtain appropriate patient consent documentation within scope for applicable procedures. Other duties as assigned. Good customer service skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to give IM injections Reliable transportation Punctual with good attendance Paediatrics MA program. EMT-Basic course. Trained on the job MA with one (1) year experience in health care, or completion of MA Apprentice program. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent.

Shift Time :
Monday 7 am-4 : 30 pm
Tuesday 7 am- 4 : 30 pm
Wednesday 7 am- 11 pm
Thursday- 7 am- 4 : 30 pm
Friday 7 am-4 : 30 pm
Local Pay Rate : $23 - $28 / hour
- Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, and education.

Job Summary :
A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.
