OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (MFR) - Rehabilitation Services - Detroit Lakes, MN

Job Description : This position provides therapy services to patients of all ages, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve patients’ abilities to their highest possible level. This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician. Education Qualifications : Job Description : Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in accordance with professional standards of the American Occupational Therapy Association using Clinical Practice Guidelines, and policies and procedures of Essentia Health. Key Responsibilities : Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient / caregiver education, and discharge planning for a patient caseload Delivers myofascial release techniques and interventions as part of the myofascial release program within the Detroit Lakes therapy team. Provides all ancillary / administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties Demonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes. Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
