About The Position

About the Position Position / Specialty : Ultrasound Tech Shift : 4x10s Mon, Tues, Thurs, 7a-5 : 30p and Friday, 5 : 30a-3 : 30p Weekend Req : See shift; only if called in Is on-call REQ?Yes, weekend day 7a-7p rotation with other technologists Types of Cases : We perform inpatient, outpatient and ER cases Daily Caseload per tech : approx. 15 per tech Will this traveler float between service lines? No Floating Req to Sister Facilities : No Required / Preferred Years of experience REQ : 1 year First-timers accepted : Yes National Certs REQ : BLS, ARRT (S) or ARDMS Radiation Badge REQ : Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Required Skills : PACS, Portables, Procedures. Ultrasonographer who can scan general abd., OB, small parts, kidney, vascular Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Local Radius : 60 miles Locals Accepted : Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers : All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours : Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.   • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
