Procurement Engineering Manager
You will be the Procurement Engineering Manager for our cross-functional team. Our team is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate the design, production, test, and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
As the Procurement Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that collaborates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, and the Supply Base to drive procurement excellence. You will oversee the development and implementation of procurement strategies that balance technical, cost, and schedule requirements. Your responsibilities will include :
- Coordinating recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees
- Directing analyses of technical data, engineering designs, and supplier capabilities
- Managing design changes to mitigate production issues
- Leading cross-functional teams to solve problems in producibility, quality, and affordability
- Facilitating technical trade-offs and standardization to drive economical procurement

Basic Qualifications :
Global Supply Chain Management Experience supporting Production, Sustainment, and RepairsExperience interfacing with Manufacturing & Supplier Quality, Production Control, Supply Chain and Program Leadership, Production Manufacturing & EngineeringExperience working with Integrated Product TeamsExperience capturing, aggregate, analyzing, and presenting data that effectively demonstrates supplier performance, and then identifying the potential risks and opportunities, to obtain a positive outcomeExperience interpreting technical blueprints, specifications, and drawings, utilizing DIMS, PDM, EDMSExperience working with supplier engagements and a familiarity with Aircraft Manufacturing Procurement Processes specifically within the Aerospace or Defense arenaExperience with problem solving techniques, tools and methodologies, such as root cause corrective action (RCCA)Project Management experience and / or (PMP)Desired Skills :
Experience as a lead or mentorExperience communicating and coordinating across disciplines (GSC, IPT, etc.), interfacing with early career and all levels of leadershipProfessional presentation development and delivery experienceComfortable with multi-tasking and working with frequently changing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level : Secret.
