Collections Specialist
$22-25 / hr (depending on experience)

~2 Month Contract | Monday-Friday, 9 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM
In partnership with a local small business, J. Morrissey is seeking a temporary Collections Specialist to assist with invoicing, payment posting, and customer follow-up. This position will run for approximately two months and requires strong attention to detail, professionalism in client communication, and comfort handling payment processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and send invoices to clients via mail and email
- Contact clients regarding outstanding balances through phone, email, and written correspondence
- Follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payment
- Process and post payments (checks, credit cards, and electronic payments) in QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and communications
- Create reports on collections activity and account status
- Communicate frequently with customers to maintain positive relationships
- Support general accounting and administrative tasks as needed
