Certified Phlebotomist

Position : Phlebotomist

Location : Queens, NY / New York City, NY

Shift : Days / Evening / Nights; 5x8 hrs (40 hrs / week)

Pay : $18 / hr to $20 / hr

Job type : Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Job responsibilities :

• Draw blood from patients for tests, transfusions, donations, or research.
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of samples.
• Prepare blood collection equipment and maintain cleanliness and sterilization.
• Follow proper procedures for specimen handling and transportation.
• Enter patient information and test data into healthcare databases or lab systems.
• Calm and reassure patients who may be anxious about the blood draw.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after blood collection.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines.
