Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, proven experience managing complex IT environments, and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset. This role involves advanced system administration, project implementation, and escalation support for client networks and servers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues involving networks, servers, and security infrastructure.
- Configure, deploy, and manage servers (Windows Server, Hyper-V, and / or VMware environments).
- Design, implement, and manage firewall and VPN solutions (FortiGate / Fortinet preferred).
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure AD integrations.
- Oversee network infrastructure including switches, routers, VLANs, and wireless systems.
- Perform and verify system backups, disaster recovery testing, and data restoration.
- Assist with onboarding new clients, systems migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Proactively monitor and maintain system performance, patching, and security updates.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Document processes, configurations, and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
5+ years of professional IT experience in managed services or similar multi-client environments.Proven experience with :Advanced Firewall Setup & Management (Fortinet / FortiGate preferred)
Advanced VPN Configuration & Management (Site-to-Site, SSL, IPsec)Advanced Server Setup & Management (Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware)Strong understanding of network design, routing, VLANs, and switch configuration.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.Solid experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.Familiarity with endpoint management tools (RMM, Intune, or similar).Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Certifications preferred : Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA / MCSE), CompTIA Network+ / Security+, or equivalent.Benefits
