• This role is responsible for overseeing the department 's compliance with all federal, state and organizational regulations related to health information management (HIM), including HIPAA.
• This role also involves managing patient requests to amend their medical records, release of information (ROI) vendor process, and coordinating patient rights related to their medical records.
• This role serves as the primary point of contact for physicians' communication regarding HIM-related matters, including documentation requirements, coding guidelines, and access to patient information.
