Job Summary
The Maintenance Planner ensures that all maintenance activities for non-jet general aviation aircraft adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, or equivalent), manufacturer specifications, and company standards. This role focuses on researching aircraft records, building accurate and comprehensive aircraft records, conducting airworthiness directive (AD) research, reviewing manufacturer service bulletins (SBs), and providing maintenance compliance recommendations. The Compliance Officer oversees inspection preparation, quality control, and final checks to maintain airworthiness and regulatory compliance, acting as the primary liaison with aviation authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation for regulatory inspections and audits by coordinating with maintenance teams, compiling required documentation, and ensuring all processes meet FAA, EASA, or equivalent standards.
Oversee quality control processes by conducting thorough reviews of maintenance tasks, verifying adherence to regulatory and manufacturer guidelines, and ensuring work meets company quality standards.
Perform final inspections of completed maintenance and repair work, approving documentation and completing detailed write-ups for maintenance records and logbooks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Research historical aircraft records to verify maintenance history and compliance status; build and maintain accurate, up-to-date aircraft records for regulatory and client purposes.
Monitor, research, and interpret airworthiness directives (ADs) and manufacturer service bulletins (SBs) to ensure timely implementation and compliance.
Provide actionable recommendations to maintenance teams and management to address compliance gaps, incorporating ADs, SBs, and best practices.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA (e.g., FAR Part 43, Part 91), EASA, or other relevant regulations.
Conduct regular internal audits of maintenance processes and documentation to verify regulatory adherence.
Investigate compliance issues, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, or inquiries.
Develop and deliver compliance-related training to maintenance staff to ensure awareness of regulatory and quality standards.
Assist in updating company compliance and quality control policies to align with regulatory changes.
