Description POSITION SUMMARY : Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required. CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required, or must obtain within two weeks from date of hire or transfer. SKILLS : Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills. EXPERIENCE : Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience. NATURE OF SUPERVISION : -Responsible to : Service Line Director ENVIRONMENT : - Bloodborne pathogen C Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
