Job Title : Drafter 1 / / Drafter 2   (open to both levels of experience)

Work Location :  Birmingham, Alabama

Work Schedule :   Hybrid, partial remote and partial in-office at APC Headquarters in Downtown Birmingham (600 18th St. N, Birmingham, AL 35203)

Department : Power Delivery Transmission Line Services Survey Support (PD TLine Svcs Survey Support)

Expected Duration of Assignment :  1 year or more (renewed annually)

Job Summary :

Alabama Power Company’s Transmission Line Services Survey Support team is looking to bring on a Drafter 1 or Drafter 2 hire.

The ideal candidate preferably has some preliminary land survey, pipeline, or highway centerline mapping experience.

Basic responsibilities will include mapping centerline Alabama Power Company (APC) transmission line right-of-way in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Candidates at both levels (Drafter 1 and Drafter 2) will be considered, based on experience and qualifications.

This position will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule (in-office and remote).

This is an exciting opportunity to join Southern Company’s Alabama Power Company Headquarters team for at least one year and contribute to impactful projects in the Power Delivery Transmission Line Services Survey Support team.
