About The Position
Gastroenterology Locums - Fast Emergency Privileges in Colorado
Physicians, an immediate need has arisen for a skilled Gastroenterologist at a Level I Trauma Center in Colorado.
Practice Setting
- Inpatient setting, acting strictly as a consult service.
- 24 / 7 Intensivists and Hospitalists on-site for support.
- Patient population includes Adult, Geriatric, and Adolescent (15+).
- Expected workload : 8-10 new consults and 5-8 scopes per day.
Schedule
24-hour call shifts (7a-7a).Ongoing need of 5-7 days per month throughout 2025.Procedures and Cases
ERCP is required for consideration-please confirm your proficiency.Required procedures include EUS, Endoscopy, and Scoping.Managing GI Bleeds and general GI problem evaluations.Requirements
Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.Active CO License or Open to IMLC Physicians (LOQ required).Active DEA must be maintained for the assignment duration.Must confirm willingness to complete specific EMR training modules.Credentialing Requirements
Standard timeframe is 60-90 days, but Emergency Privileges are 1-2 weeks.Requires a Self-Inquiry NPDB report provided at submission.Pre-application and full application required right away for urgent dates.Travel accommodations
