Manufacturing Manager - Oil & Gas Job Summary
This critical leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence within a dynamic industrial manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee production operations, process optimization, and team performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic leader who champions continuous improvement and fosters a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities - Direct and manage all manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality expectations, and safety standards are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Lead lean manufacturing efforts, including Kaizen, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste.
- Plan and manage production capacity, scheduling, and resource utilization to meet current demand and support future growth.
- Define, monitor, and improve key performance indicators related to productivity, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead equipment upgrades, machinery installations, and facility expansion projects from planning through execution.
- Oversee process engineering activities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and performance reporting.
- Maintain strong cost controls while supporting high-volume production and operational agility.
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, train, develop, and mentor manufacturing personnel, promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager or comparable leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, production planning, and supply chain coordination.
- Demonstrated success in capacity planning, KPI development, and process and workflow optimization.
- Experience supporting new facility start-ups, production line expansions, or significant equipment upgrades.
- Detail-oriented, practical, and approachable leadership style with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Experience in high-mix and/or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
