Title : Service Technical Specialist

Location : York, PA

Duration : 0 - 6 Months

Shift : Normal work hours will vary between 7 : 00 am and 7 : 00 pm will have regularly scheduled hours Travel up to 25% - Domestic

Hourly Rate : $40.00 / Hour

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical advice to dealership service department technicians and Field Service staff.
  • Assist dealership technicians with :

Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting.

  • Diagnosis of systems using electronic test equipment and interpretation of fault codes.
  • Adjustments and settings for hydraulic, electrical, and application performance.
  • Adjustments and settings for varying field / crop conditions and applications.
  • Procedures related to equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain and expand the technical information database through ASIST system.
  • Document all technical questions and answers in Applix (contact management system) for :

    • Future reference by other Service Technical Specialists.

  • Addition to the ASIST database for dealer access.
  • Use by Product Behavior, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to improve reliability and serviceability.
  • Statistical tracking to identify emerging product or application issues.
  • Provide timely, cost-effective, and structured technical responses aligned with objectives.
  • Develop product expertise for assigned products and expand knowledge base over time.
  • Participate in activities that improve reliability and serviceability of products.
  • Occasionally travel to production plants, engineering centers, dealerships, and customer locations to better understand products, applications, issues, and solutions.
  • Work within the Technical Services (TS) team to support North American commercial operations.

    • Qualifications

    Required :

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree or technical program in Engineering, Industrial, Technology, or Agricultural Sciences.
  • Technical experience in diagnostics of mechanical, electrical (12 or 24V DC), and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with mobile equipment such as agricultural, construction, forestry equipment, on / off-road trucks, or automobiles.
  • Ability to work flexible hours between 7 : 00 AM and 7 : 00 PM.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.

    • Preferred :

  • 4-year bachelor's degree.
  • Customer support experience.
  • Dealership experience (sales, parts, or service).
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with diesel engines and engine system troubleshooting on mobile equipment.
