Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Posting : Surgical Technologist (CST) Location : OMC- Summit, NJ 07901 Employment Type : Travel Contract Assignment Length : 8 Weeks Bill Rate : $55-65.00 / hr Shift & Schedule 3 days per week Shift : 7 : 00 PM 8 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts) 30-minute break Saturdays required Floating : Must be able to float to sister unit Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating needs. Handle and care for surgical equipment, tools, and supplies. Maintain compliance with all infection control and safety protocols. Assist in room turnover and equipment restocking between cases. Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia staff, and other team members to ensure safe and efficient surgical care. Qualifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience - Required Experience in multiple surgical specialties - Preferred Ability to work night shifts and weekends Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR safety standards Must be able to float as needed
