Description :

This role involves working in a 48-bed emergency department with a flexible space.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4 : 1 in the main emergency department and 6 : 1 in fast track.

The facility handles a diverse patient population including those with ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric conditions, and other common diagnoses such as abdominal and chest pain.

The department employs a team nursing and pod system.

Additional support includes a social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator.

Equipment utilized includes Zoll defibrillators, blood transfusion devices, blood warmers, and point-of-care testing instruments.

The electronic health record system in use is Cerner.
