About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its new IPP division, which is in the early stages of formation. The successful candidate will have P&L responsibility and will be tasked with leading a small, dedicated team to ensure the profitable and efficient functioning of the IPP. This role is pivotal in the company's strategy to complement its core model with the ability to build and own some of the projects it develops. The VP will be accountable to the executive team and the board, and will be expected to manage the division's resources, both internal and external, to meet its strategic goals. Collaboration with other leaders and employees is essential, as is a deep understanding of the development business and a commitment to the company's cultural pillars of transparency, respect, and humility.
Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in renewable energy development, EPC, project finance, and / or operations, with a strong background in at least one essential function for a renewable energy IPP. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in scaling organizations, prior P&L responsibility, and a strong understanding of the financial drivers of an IPP business. Desired qualifications include project design and construction expertise, familiarity with power purchase agreements, and superb stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, be adept at evaluating project economics, and have a passion for renewables and decarbonization. Strong people management, communication, and project management skills are also essential, as is a commitment to the company's values and a diverse, inclusive work environment.
