Orthodontics Support Staff

Schedule : Fulltime, Days, Monday-Friday 8AM-4 : 30PM

Hospital : Strictly Peds Med Office

Location : 1301 Barbara Jordan Blvd, Austin Tx

Responsibilities : Under the supervision of a dentist / orthodontist perform medical and administrative tasks to provide support to patients and dental services staff. Assist with performing assessments and treatments. Perform diagnostic radiographs. Obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and / or intra-oral appliances. Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration; also assemble, decontaminate, sort, process and maintain dental instruments utilized throughout the facility. Maintain equipment and medical supplies in clean working order. Maintain examination areas in a clean, adequately stocked and organized condition. Take on-call shifts when requested.

Requirements : Licensure / Certification / Registration : BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Dental Assistant credentialed from the Texas Dental Assistant preferred. Education : High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
