Job descriptionTransaction-related activities include strategic operational analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and financing of platform and add-on transactions, as well as the implementation of operational improvements post-close Developing and maintaining financial and operational models Conducting due diligence on new potential investments and their associated industries Drafting investment committee presentation materials Drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives Drive evaluation of prospective add-on acquisition targets and execute add-on transactions Monitoring portfolio companies and assisting with reporting to board of directors Additional responsibilities on an ad hoc basis
Selby Jennings is working with a top-tier private equity firm in Dallas, Texas to find an Associate to join their deal team in June / July of 2025. The firm is a generalist-focused group, that makes investments in lower and middle-market North American manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and consumer companies that show strong signs of growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree required (must have an exceptional record of academic achievement)
- 1-3 years of investment banking at an investment bank required
- Strong modeling, analytical, valuation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to key internal / external stakeholders
- Demonstrated high performance in multidisciplinary work experience and education
- Must have a team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects
- Desire to live and work in Dallas, TX
