Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Neurology Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Job Title : Registered Nurse – Neurology Location : Gainesville, FL Shift : 12-Hour Days or Nights (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM / 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) | Rotating Weekends Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Permanent Key Responsibilities : Conduct comprehensive patient assessments during admission and throughout each shift. Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse responses. Perform neurological assessments and closely monitor for any changes in condition. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement and adjust care plans. Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record. Respond to emergencies promptly and deliver evidence-based interventions. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Serve as a patient advocate, promoting comfort, dignity, and holistic care. Qualifications : Required : Active Florida RN License or Compact License (must meet state requirements). Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years) . Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
