Life Care Center of Aurora is lookingfor an Admissions Assistant, this is a full-time hourly position. This individual reportsdirectly to the Admissions Director. This individual will support theAdmissions Director with patient intakes and provide administrative support tothe department.
This individual supports theorganization by answering hospital calls, perspective family phone calls,providing tours to perspective resident, tracking incoming referrals fromhospitals at a high-pace, calling insurance to verify eligibility and benefits,providing appropriate documentation in a timely manner, collaborating withother departments to ensure proper information is being reported, will be inconstant communication with hospital liaisons, complete admission and discharge audits, scanning, and keeping patient health records organized / complete.

Position Summary
The Admissions Assistant (Non Nurse) facilitates and supports the admission process in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
High school graduate or equivalentPrior healthcare experience preferredSpecific Job Requirements
Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to : patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etcMaintains confidentiality of all proprietary and / or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential Functions
