Job Title : Lead Quality Control Inspector

Pay : Up to $60 / hr

  • This includes a per diem split for nonlocal candidates

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Quality Control Inspector to support the Chief Inspector in overseeing inspection and quality assurance functions for our Part 135 / P145 operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Quality Control Inspector, a strong amount of corporate aircraft experience, and hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Inspector in managing the inspection department to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct and oversee inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance activities to ensure airworthiness and safety.
  • Maintain and update inspection records, manuals, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits and corrective action processes.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel, vendors, and regulatory authorities to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely aircraft availability.
  • Provide mentorship and training to inspection staff and technicians.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of Quality Inspector experience in a Part 135 / 145 operation.
  • 5+ years of corporate aircraft maintenance experience in a P145 operation.
  • Extensive knowledge of corporate aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, FARs & P145 repair station requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and digital documentation platforms.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate aircraft, including Gulfstream models.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) certification.
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

    Work Environment

    This position will be primarily behind a desk in the inspection office, providing a stable and organized environment to conduct thorough inspections and manage quality control functions.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00 / hr.
