Schedule
2nd shift 1 : 30-12am M-TH (+1 / hr premium)
About the Role
Every part that leaves Argon Industries should reflect our standards and our customers’ expectations. As a Weld Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be the final word on whether incoming and outgoing materials meet or exceed customer requirements and align with Argon’s ISO-driven quality system.
A Day in the Life
You start your shift by verifying incoming materials : checking type, size, quantity, and quality while maintaining full traceability. You move to the floor for first-piece and in-process checks on welding and select fabrication jobs, then close the loop with thorough final inspection. Throughout the day, you partner with engineering and manufacturing to clarify drawings and job travelers, update programs when needed, and coach team members on quality expectations and safe, efficient methods.
What You’ll Do
- Use precision inspection tools to validate product conformance to customer specs and ISO procedures : calipers, height gages, micrometers, squares, CMM, pin / thread gages, and more.
- Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections for welding and some fabrication work.
- Read and interpret Job Travelers, customer requirements, blueprints, engineering drawings, and deviations to ensure Argon’s compliance.
- Communicate proactively—assist and train personnel, flag potential quality or safety issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering / manufacturing to keep drawings, job travelers, and programs clear, accurate, and current.
- Recommend new ideas, policies, and procedures to elevate quality and efficiency.
- Verify incoming materials against specifications; maintain material identification and traceability.
