The Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity to explore the boundless possibilities for nurses at UVA Health.

Internal Traveler positions are :

Non-benefitted position

compensated competitively with other traveler positions; hourly flat rate - no differentials or incentive pay

available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and

are offered in 13-week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks.

One-time $2,500.00 incentive pay with first 13 week assignment.

Please note that specific units or departments may have preferred qualifications beyond the general requirements for this role. These preferences may include certifications relevant to the specialty, experience in a Level One Trauma Hospital, or other specialized skills. Candidates are encouraged to highlight any and all relevant experience and certifications in their application.

Position Compensation Range : - Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience : Minimum of one year RN experience.

Licensure : Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending / stooping / traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift / push / pull >

100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood / body fluids and infectious disease.
