Senior Accountant

Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position (Thursdays on site). The ideal candidate will be a technical accountant with an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and / or ASC 842 Leases, as well as a background in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to :

• Monitor large volumes of data and ensure data is accurately organized and up to date, maintaining a clear overview of the status.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess the revenue recognition method under ASC 606, then document the analysis and conclusions clearly and comprehensively.
• Prepare and review lease-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 842.
• Create and maintain lease accounting schedules and reports.
• Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide support for ad hoc projects and additional analyses as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
