Location : Austin, TX

Pay Rate : $60 / hr

Shift : Monday-Friday, 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking an experienced MRI Specialist to join a respected healthcare facility in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging procedures, patient safety, and efficient exam flow while maintaining excellent patient care and communication.

Responsibilities :

Maintain adequate room stock and inventory levels to support continuous exam flow.

Confirm patient identity and verify pregnancy and informed consent status.

Prepare patients appropriately for procedures, demonstrating age-appropriate care.

Assess factors that may contraindicate procedures, including medication risks and patient readiness.

Determine and administer contrast agent type and dosage based on patient age, weight, and medical condition.

Anticipate and respond to patient needs throughout the imaging process.

Screen all non-MRI personnel prior to entry into MRI Zones III and IV.

Operate and troubleshoot MRI and related imaging equipment (RIS, PACS, etc.).

Qualifications :

Education : Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Radiology program.

• Certification :

Required - MR-ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).

Preferred - R-ARRT and CMRT (Texas Medical Board).

Experience : Minimum 3 years of MRI experience. required

Comprehensive understanding of MRI physics, protocols, and patient safety.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certified; proficient in medical terminology.

Professional, courteous, and confidential patient interactions.

Bilingual abilities preferred.
