  • Maintain and reconcile AR aging schedules to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting.
  • Review supporting documentation to ensure compliance with government, foundation, and donor requirements.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Development and Program teams to reconcile contributions, grants, and receivables.
  • Assist with audit preparation by gathering supporting documentation and preparing schedules.
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation of AR procedures.
  • Perform special projects and analyses as assigned by the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable.

Qualifications

  • Current senior (or strong junior) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (knowledge of GAAP preferred).
  • Interest in nonprofit accounting, compliance, and funder reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar) a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
  • What You Will Gain

  • Paid, full-time internship experience with a flexible schedule.
  • Hands-on exposure to nonprofit accounting operations, including AR and grant compliance.
  • Experience with revenue reconciliation, funder billing, and audit preparation.
  • Mentorship from the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable, and collaboration with the broader Finance team.
  • Valuable professional experience that can support future full-time career opportunities in accounting and finance.
