About the Role

TaxSlayer is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Developer to build comprehensive solutions for Tax Professionals. As a Full Stack Software Developer, you’ll work on both cutting-edge .NET 8 APIs and React applications while helping migrate and maintain our .NET Framework applications. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for delivering high quality software, working in an agile environment, and staying up to date on the latest technologies. You will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team environment, taking on difficult challenges with many opportunities to learn from seasoned engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Write efficient and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate into technical requirements.

Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Timely delivery of high-quality, well-documented code.

Effective collaboration with stakeholders and QA teams.

Improved product performance and reduced defects.

Positive feedback from internal users and external clients.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.

Proficient with modern .NET development (.NET 8, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, Blazor).

Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or MySQL.

Experience with modern React applications using TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.

Experience writing unit / integration / E2E tests.

Experience with version control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with .NET Framework and WinForms applications.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience or training.

2+ years of development experience.
