The role of the District Data Specialist was established to ensure district data accuracy across all systems and the state SIS. The specialist supports district leadership in retrieving and tracking student performance data and maintains an updated online presence for timely communication with district stakeholders.

Salary Range : $60,000-$80,000
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure accuracy of all data collected by various district systems.
- Provide all staff and students with needed access to assigned systems.
- Conduct regular uploads to ISBE's SIS for accurate state reporting.
- Gather and report student assessment data; collaborate with the Director of Technology, Administration, Teachers, and support staff as needed.
- Upload data to systems including ISBE SIS, PowerSchool, G-Suite, and online curriculum systems.
- Schedule workshops, order materials, and provide staff with evidence of completion for professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with all district members and the community.
- Assist with implementation of district curriculum, instruction, and assessments in relation to data.
- Assist with implementation, maintenance, and integration of new systems such as Clever.
- Assist the Director of Technology with maintaining SOPPA compliance.
- Create, manage, and maintain student and staff accounts across systems including Active Directory, G-Suite, PowerSchool, etc.
- Attend workshops and conferences to learn new practices and procedures for data systems.
- Assist in the review and selection of educational software.
- Maintain technology websites and social media.
- Prepare documentation (user guides, recommendations, reports, instructions, etc.) for activity documentation, written reference, and information conveyance.
- Assist with yearly student Chromebook inventory, distribution, and return.
- Provide basic level support of classroom devices when appropriate.
- Provide reports on instructional technology usage in the buildings to Administration.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality in the performance of all assigned duties.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Technology and / or District Administrators.

Work Environment
The work environment is generally stable, with minimal exposure to unusual temperatures, noise, or hazards. The position requires extended and non-traditional hours to fulfill job duties, including participation in organization-sponsored events and meetings.
Qualifications
Experience with school SIS systems; 3+ years with PowerSchool preferred.Experience with ISBE State Reporting and data uploads.Familiarity with G-Suite.Familiarity with MS Office Suite.Ability to lift 50 lbs.J-18808-Ljbffr
