Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, draping patients, handing instruments, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, inventorying and ordering medical supplies, operating diagnostic equipment, giving injections, scheduling appointments, and completing insurance forms. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, knowledge of medical terminology, current CPR card, graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and computer proficiency.
