About The Position

Urology Locums, South Carolina - Trauma Call Blocks

This Urology assignment near Florence, South Carolina offers 7-day call blocks at a Level 1 trauma center, with fast credentialing and inpatient-only responsibilities.

Highlights

  • Week-long blocks, 24-hour call (6a-6a)
  • Orientation required 1 weekday before start
  • Inpatient-only; no clinic or outpatient work
  • Less than 1 hour from the coast

Practice Setting

  • Level 1 trauma center with complex patient mix
  • Urohospitalist model : rounding, consults, and procedures
  • Dedicated PA support weekdays, no APP coverage weekends
  • Patient base : ~95% adults, ~5% pediatrics
  • Schedule

  • 7-day call blocks, ongoing availability through 2025
  • 30-45 day credentialing turnaround
  • Must be comfortable managing both elective and emergent cases
  • Cases and Procedures

  • Bread-and-butter urology : stones, stents, cystoscopies, torsions
  • Trauma cases : bladder repairs, gunshot / stab wounds, nephrectomies
  • Mix of open and laparoscopic procedures, no robotics
  • Requirements

  • Board Certified in Urology
  • Active South Carolina license, CSR, and DEA required
  • Travel Accommodations
