Job Details :

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
• Weekend rotation required (every other weekend) and holidays as needed
• No call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse
• Float between all Cone Health campuses if needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with surgery / trauma experience preferred
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Specialize in care of stable trauma patients
• Provide pre-op and post-op care for surgical patient populations
• Manage blood product administration and peripheral line care
• Care for high volume patients including exploratory laps, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, lap cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma and plastic surgeries
• Also care for lower volume populations including GYN surgeries, palliative care patients, 24-hour observation patients, and medical overflow patients
• Use of rapid response teams required
• Work with lift equipment, wound vacs, and Coude catheters
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
