Overview

THE QUALITY SENIOR ENGINEER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING TIMELY AND EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF ALL COMPANY'S POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND ACTIVITIES INVOLVED IN ASSURING THE QUALITY OF MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS. SHE / HE MAINTAINS CLOSE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE QUALITY & SQE MANAGER IN ORDER TO MEET AND MAINTAIN PRODUCT QUALITY, IDENTIFY, SOLVE AND PREVENT PROBLEMS AFFECTING PRODUCT QUALITY, MAXIMIZE PRODUCTIVITY, AND COMPLY WITH REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. SHE / HE WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO OPERATE STANDARD OFFICE EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING A COMPUTER, AND WILL DESIGN AND UTILIZE COMPUTER REPORTS AND OUTPUT. IN THE ABSENCE OF THE QUALITY & SQE MANAGER, THE QUALITY SENIOR ENGINEER WILL BE REQUIRED TO ORGANIZE, COORDINATE, AND REPORT QUALITY ENGINEERING FUNCTIONS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF QUALITY. SHE / HE REPORTS TO THE QUALITY & SQE MANAGER AND / OR THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT(HOD).

Responsibilities

  • LEAD AND SUPPORT A TEAM OF QUALITY ENGINEERS TO ENSURE THAT ALL PRODUCTS MEET OR EXCEED CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS.
  • PLAN, DEVELOP, AND IMPLEMENT QUALITY CONTROL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
  • CONDUCT AUDITS AND INSPECTIONS TO IDENTIFY ANY AREAS IN NEED OF IMPROVEMENT.
  • INVESTIGATE COMPLAINTS AND INCIDENTS TO DETERMINE ROOT CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTION.
  • MONITOR TRENDS IN CUSTOMER FEEDBACK AND SATISFACTION DATA TO IDENTIFY POTENTIAL ISSUES.
  • ANALYZE DATA AND METRICS TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CURRENT QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURES.
  • RECOMMEND AND IMPLEMENT CHANGES TO IMPROVE OVERALL PRODUCT QUALITY.
  • TRAIN AND MENTOR NEW EMPLOYEES ON QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURES.
  • KEEP UP TO DATE WITH INDUSTRY BEST PRACTICES AND DEVELOPMENTS.
  • LIAISE WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS TO RESOLVE QUALITY ISSUES IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER.
  • PREPARE REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS FOR UPPER MANAGEMENT.
  • MONITORING WORK PROGRESS TO ENSURE THAT DEADLINES ARE MET AND THAT QUALITY STANDARDS ARE UPHELD.
  • TRAINING NEW EMPLOYEES ON COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, INCLUDING SAFETY MEASURES AND ETHICS POLICIES.
  • CONDUCTING REGULAR AUDITS OF PRODUCTION LINES OR DEPARTMENTS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY STANDARDS.
  • MONITORING EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE AND TAKING DISCIPLINARY ACTION IF NECESSARY.
  • MANAGING PROJECTS INVOLVING A TEAM OF EMPLOYEES WORKING ON SPECIFIC TASKS TOWARDS COMMON GOALS.
  • REVIEWING EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEY ARE MEETING STANDARDS OR MAKING IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED TO MEET STANDARDS.
  • PROVIDING GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO EMPLOYEES IN THEIR WORK TEAMS TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE PERFORMING THEIR JOBS EFFECTIVELY.
  • EVALUATING HAZARDS IN THE WORKPLACE AND RECOMMENDING SOLUTIONS.
  • MONITORING AND REPORTING EMPLOYEE PRODUCTIVITY TO ENSURE THAT GOALS ARE BEING MET.
  • PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
  • ESTABLISH FACTORY A QUALITY CONTROL WORK ENVIRONMNENT OF FACTORY.
  • LI-ION BATTERY SYSTEM PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL.
  • ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN SERVICE AND WARRANTY PROCESS.
  • SUPPORT AND MONITOR ALL IATF REQUIREMENTS.

Education and Experience

  • BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED.
  • 3 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE AUTOMOTIVE OR BATTERY FIELD REQUIRED.
  • FAILURE MODE EFFECT ANALYSIS (FMEA) AND THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.
  • CONTROL PLANS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.
  • PRODUCTION PART APPROVAL PROCESS (PPAP) AND THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.
  • MICROSOFT OFFICE APPLICATIONS INCLUDING SPREADSHEETS, DATABASES, USE OF COMPUTERS.
  • ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS AND TOOLS UTILIZED FOR INVESTIGATION AND CORRECTION.

LEADERSHIP CAN ALSO HELP YOU GUIDE YOUR TEAM TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS AND TAKE ACTION WHEN NECESSARY.
