Position Details
- Role : Veterinary Assistant
- Status : Full-time
- Salary : Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule : The clinic is open Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm. This person is expected to work 32-36 hours per week to maintain full-time status, but is not required to work 5 days a week

Our Veterinary Assistants play an essential role in ensuring both patients and clients have a positive experience at every visit.
Position Overview :
We're looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is reliable, motivated, and eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a love for animals, and a desire to support both the medical team and our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and proceduresRestrain patients safely and compassionately for exams and diagnosticsPrepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and treatment spacesClean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean hospital environmentAssist with vaccine preparation and administration under supervisionProvide basic patient care such as walking, feeding, and monitoring recoveryEducate clients on general pet care, parasite prevention, and post-visit instructionsStock supplies and ensure proper inventory levels in exam and treatment areasSupport front desk staff with patient intake, discharges, or occasional client communicationRequired Qualifications :
At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting preferred (but will train the right candidate with strong animal handling skills)Knowledge of basic animal handling and restraint techniquesAbility to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudeWillingness to learn and grow with the teamPreferred Qualifications :
Experience with vaccine protocols and preventive care educationFamiliarity with veterinary software or EMRsBilingual a plus (but not required)What We Offer : Financial Benefits
