The MEP Coordinator is a detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The coordinator is an important part of the overall Project Team and will be an integral part of the coordination of all MEP systems. Programs used to facilitate coordination and conflict resolution are AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks and BIM 360 Glue. The Coordinator will work under the direction of the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure that the process is managed timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities :
- Assist Project Executive, Project Manager, and Estimators in pre-award interviews if required
- Assist Project Teams with modeling for proposals and preconstruction as necessary
- Assist the project team with weekly meetings including MEP subcontractors
- Manage 2D documentation and 3D models from all subcontractors for construction coordination
- Run clash detection and work with the Subcontractors and design team on resolution of issues
- Initiate Requests for Information for submission to the Architect / Engineer during coordination process
- Manage complete drawings for use by the Project Team and all subcontractors during construction
- Provide technical support to the Project Team throughout the construction process
- Train operational teams on MEP coordination and technology
Qualifications :
The intent is for the MEP Coordinator to have an understanding of construction, MEP systems and the required softwareDegree in Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or the equivalent combination of technical training and / or related experience1-3 years of commercial mechanical construction experienceStrong knowledge of construction MEP processAbility to forge relationships with co-workers, Vendors, Subcontractors, Owners, Engineers, and Design professionalsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to participate in meetings with multiple attendeesStrong working knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
