Finance Student Position

Interested in a future in finance? Facilities Management has an opening for a student to support the FM Finance team by processing and analyzing utility invoices. This role is ideal for students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, or business administration. You will gain practical experience in financial operations while helping ensure accurate and timely handling of utility commodity expenses. Additional administrative and reporting tasks will be assigned as needed. This is an in-person position.

We aim to fill this position during the Fall Semester, with an opportunity to extend the working arrangement for the 2026 Spring semester upon review.

Position compensation : $17.00 / hr

Responsibilities

• Enter utility invoices (electricity, water, sewer, gas, etc.) into the utility management system
• Ensure proper documentation, coding, and categorization of utility expenses
• Assist with organizing and maintaining digital and physical invoice records
• Review utility invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Identify discrepancies, unusual charges, or billing errors
• Communicate findings with supervisor as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education : Current undergrad UVA student Experience : None Licensure : None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
