Job descriptionH.S. diploma or equivalency required 1 year of experience in Histology laboratory or Medical Technologist. ASCP Certification (HT / HTL or MS / MLS) strongly preferred NYS licensure required as Histology Technician or Medical Technologist.
Histology Technologist

Mon-Fri 9pm-5 : 30am
Job Functions :
- Perform routine activities involved in the preparation of slides, for microscopic evaluation by a pathologist(s).
- Label tissue samples.
- Ensure tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy.
- Performs recuts requested by a Pathologist.
- Prepare solutions and reagents for stain procedures.
- Perform stains procedures.
- Well experienced in IHC instrumentation and stains.
- Adhere to quality control policies.
- Ensure compliance with all local, federal, NY State, CLIA, and CAP regulations.
- Responsible for training and cross-training other employees.
