Responsibilities Work in a Critical Access Hospital covering Emergency Room, Med Surg, and outpatient settings Unit consists of 10 patient rooms with an average census of 4 patients per day Nurse to patient ratio averages 1 : 2 or 1 : 3, with a maximum of 1 : 6 Night shifts, 12-hour schedule, with every other weekend required Float as needed between ER, Med Surg, and outpatient units Uses Epic EMR, Philips central monitor / telemetry, and Lifepak 15 equipment RN will work alongside another RN and typically with a PCT or LPN as the third team member Must be able to perform standard RN duties including IV starts and foley catheterization Travelers receive tailored orientation, with up to a week provided including both day and night shifts Navy scrubs are required for all shifts Holiday coverage may be required based on departmental needs Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to being considered Candidates residing within 80 miles are subject to a local pay adjustment Requirements Active SD or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years recent experience in both ER and Med Surg Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required Recent Critical Access Hospital experience preferred Experience with Epic EMR preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630336.
