Intern - Information Technology

Summary

Our -week internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete projects that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the program, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon.

Work schedule and number of hours worked per week (minimum: – hours) are flexible, within normal business hours.

The Intern will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of One-to-Many technology teams, which could include:

• Documenting project deliverables
• Supporting cloud-based analytics and reporting initiatives
• Gathering and analyzing data for technology KPIs
• Building management reports using Power BI
• Collaborating with business and other technology partners
• Technology potential areas of work include: Emerging Technology, Digital Banking, Commercial Specialty, Core Banking Applications, Infrastructure, Technology Business Office, Data & Cloud, or Information Security
• Performing all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Full-time undergraduate student with anticipated graduation date between May and December
• GPA of or above
• Strong interest in computer science and problem solving
• Resourcefulness, team-oriented, enthusiastic
• Demonstrated leadership and self-development (work or campus)
• Ability to interface and network with people at all levels of an organization
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strategic and critical thinking skills
• Foundational knowledge of Networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP fundamentals)
• Basic understanding of Windows Operating systems and desktop deployment concepts
  
• Familiarity with Windows endpoints and eagerness to learn
  
• CompTIA A+ coursework is a plus
  
• General understanding of APIs, cloud technologies, or software development lifecycle is a plus

Computer and Office Equipment Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI a plus
• .net or Java computer programming knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services
• Exposure to AI Development
