What You Will Do
- Serve as a support resource to patients, families and guests, unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, by assisting the unit clinical leadership with coordination of patient care services, through the provision of information and directions, securing the assistance and resources, and troubleshooting initial customer service concerns.
- Facilitate the electronic storage and retrieval of patient records / orders by acting as a resource to physicians / clinicians providing the first level system support.
- Provide exceptional customer service and model MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
- Collaborate to ensure timely and accurate use of medical record forms and documentation of information.
- Assist with coordination of Patient Care Services and online tools support; provide unit operations support.
- Perform other job functions as assigned or requested.
Education / Formal Training Requirements
Associate's DegreeWork Experience Requirements
1-3 years Administrative or clerical experienceKnowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.HIPAA compliance required.Working knowledge of computer data entry / retrieval (MS Office); prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.General knowledge of computer and peripheral operation for troubleshooting wireless device connectivity and related tasks.Strong customer service experience in retail or healthcare settings.Ability to use basic office equipment; multi-line phones; good data entry skills and legible handwriting.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication with a range of medical professionals, patients and visitors.Ability to handle routine to moderately complex situations with attention to detail.Maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive data.Supervision Provided by this Position
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position other than those inherent with project coordination.Physical Demands
