We are looking for an experienced Compensation Manager or Analyst for a client in New Orleans. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and administering compensation programs that align with organizational goals and ensure compliance with both internal standards and government regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a commitment to equity, and a passion for optimizing compensation strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and analyze job descriptions to determine market value and ensure alignment with industry benchmarks.
- Propose and negotiate salary adjustments for promotions, reclassifications, equity adjustments, and retention purposes.
- Assess and update salary structures to maintain alignment with current market trends and organizational needs.
- Conduct pay analyses to determine eligibility for additional compensation based on objective criteria.
- Participate in external salary surveys to ensure competitive positioning of the University’s compensation strategy.
- Audit employee statuses and salary grades to ensure consistency and compliance across similar roles.
- Review existing compensation programs and contribute to the development of enhancements to improve effectiveness and equity.
- Design and deliver training sessions and communications on compensation policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to integrate and streamline processes for improved service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as human resources, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in HR or analytical roles, with at least three years focused on compensation practices.
- Proven expertise in conducting market studies, job evaluations, and salary offers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial or compensation-related analyses.
- Familiarity with compensation analysis tools and methodologies, including benchmarking and salary surveys.
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements and regulations related to compensation programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for training and collaboration purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve organizational goals.
