DFN is a top fiber internet service provider serving Lane, Douglas, and Coos counties. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Administrative & HR Assistant to join our team in Roseburg, OR.The Administrative & HR Assistant provides a wide range of administrative and human resources support to ensure the smooth operation of the office and HR department. This position assists with day-to-day office functions, supports HR processes such as recruiting, benefits administration, and recordkeeping, and provides general administrative support to management and staff. This position would be a great fit for someone with at least 2-5 years of experience in human resources or office administration. This is a full-time, hourly position that will work 32-40 hours per week dependent on the needs of the business.

What you'll do :

  • Performsecretarial and administrative duties for the DFN office including taking meeting minutes, preparing correspondence, managing and ordering office supplies, coordinating building maintenance and repairs, preparing reports, managing an electronic filing system, scheduling meetings, vendor coordination, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain DFN board meeting documentation and assist with planning and preparation.
  • Maintain company documentation including digital and physical files in accordance with
  • records retention policies.

  • Assist with coordinating company meetings, events, and training sessions.
  • Assist HR with safety and health programs, recruiting efforts, employee file maintenance, benefits vendor databases, and training platforms.
  • Support HR in day-to-day activities as needed providing coverage for the department when necessary.
  • Work with liability insurance providers on claims and renewals. Ensure compliance with coverage requirements for company assets.
  • Responsible for administrative tasks related to regulatory compliance including responding to BBB and FCC.
  • This job description covers the most crucial key and supplemental duties performed in the position, but does not include other occasional work, which may be similar, related to, or a logical assignment for the position.
  • Other projects will be assigned as needed.

    What we're looking for :

  • High-school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in business or office administration preferred.
  • 2-5 years of office experience required in an administrative or HR role.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to learn new software and applications specific to the industry and position including MS Office Suite, HRIS & LMS platforms, and e-filing system.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills a must. This position involves a significant amount of data processing and accuracy is imperative.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from legal documents and regulatory materials. This position requires the ability to decipher various types of documents and determine if, how, and where they should be stored based on their contents.
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license.
  • Professional appearance and customer service oriented.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, courtesy, patience and tact in public contact and problem resolution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing
  • Able to meet physical demands with reasonable accommodations if necessary.
