The primary role of the Legal Assistant is to provide excellent customer service to TrueNorth and its Affiliates through providing administrative support within the Legal Department. Essential Job Functions :
Complete complex company and producer appointment paperwork with insurance companies and related markets, to ensure appropriate accessProvide staff with access to carrier websites and troubleshoot to rectify user issues with inability to accessProcess off-boarding tasks associated with termination of individual’s carrier appointments and of carrier / market website access.Intake and processing of hard copy mail, to ensure transmittal to the intended recipientAssist with redirection of carrier electronic correspondence received by Legal Department to appropriate service teamsProcess CE certificates of completion to ensure files are updated and in compliance.Provide administrative support on M&A-related tasksTrack time spent on daily activities and report monthly, per Legal team protocolsMaintain strong working knowledge of legal department systemsOrganize time in advance so projects are completed on time and with appropriate content and organizationMeet speed of service, volume and quality goals for each task and contribute to overall team projectsLead development of workflows and procedures that will support increased efficienciesProcess expense allocationsProvide support for special projects under the supervision of Attorneys.Process Legal Department billing sheets for submission to Accounting, adhering to monthly deadlinesPerform other duties or projects as assignedCredentials :
A two-year degree required or equivalent work experience2-3 years of administrative experience preferredPrior insurance industry experience desirableExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookSkills :
