The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist I to join our Enterprise Support Services Group within the Information Systems Division (ISD). This role is perfect for a skilled IT professional who thrives in customer support and enterprise service desk environments.
What Youll Do
- Provide enterprise-wide customer and technical support services in a Help Desk / Service Desk environment.
- Troubleshoot first- and second-tier desktop and mobile applications by identifying root causes and applying solutions.
- Open and manage ServiceNow IT incident tickets (or similar IT service management systems).
- Serve as a lead for Service Desk support, demonstrating expertise in desktop, hardware, software, and networking support.
- Assist with training, documentation, and presentations related to Service Desk services and supported applications.
Desirable Qualifications
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to accurately document solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proven ability to deliver timely results to internal customers.Experience with ServiceNow or other IT incident tracking software.Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills.At least one year of technical telephone support experience.Additional Information
