JOB OVERVIEW :

Job Title : Physician Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Job Type : Locum Tenens
Location : Julesburg, CO
Service Setting : Inpatient Emergency Department Swing Beds (SNF)
Coverage Type : Clinical Only
Coverage Period : ASAP Open
Clinical Shift Schedule : Every other weekend, Friday 8 AM through Monday 8 AM

PATIENT INFORMATION :

Patient Demographics : Adults and Geriatrics

Patient Volume / Census : ER averages 3.9 patients / day; Swing-bed average 1.5 patients; Floor average 1.1 patients / day

Admissions : Yes

Rounding : Yes (Swing-bed and inpatient floor)

Case Mix : Emergency Medicine and Inpatient Care

FACILITY INFORMATION :

EMR System : Cerner / Oracle

Support Staff Available : No APP coverage during specified weekends

Reason for Coverage : Supplemental

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE :

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Temporary Privileges Available : Yes

Credentialing Timeline : Quick temporary privileges available

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

Rate : TBD

Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Lodging onsite

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Licenses : Active CO medical license and DEA

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ATLS

Experience : Family Practice or Internal Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience

Other Qualifications : CO or local candidates preferred, NPDB query required, hospital credentialing documents required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provide emergency and inpatient care during scheduled weekend shifts

Manage Swing-bed and inpatient floor patients

Respond to emergency room patients and perform required procedures

Complete necessary documentation in Cerner / Oracle EMR

Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
