Job Description

Duration : 6 Months (possible temp-to-hire)

Location : Houston, TX 77042

Hybrid Schedule : Remote M & F

Qualifications :

• Master Degree preferably in Economics / Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Bachelor degree plus extensive relevant training and experience
• More than 10 years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing and contracting of Land and Intermodal Transportation Services, with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in directly managing the procurement of Rail Transportation and logistics service categories, including sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management in the Americas
• Trucking / Rail (Class 1 Rail Road) network sourcing is critical
• Strong SAP experience with Ariba experience
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) across all business levels, sites, cross-national and cross-functional organizations
• Demonstrated expert negotiation skills, people management skills, analytical skills, change management, cultural awareness, and style flexibility
• Strong critical thinking and decision quality
• Fluent in English, with Spanish and / or Portuguese a plus (position may support US, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil
