Overview
The Certified Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards. This includes performing daily sanitation activities, mechanically assembling and disassembling equipment for cleaning, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation protocols, and safety requirements. The role supports food safety, product quality, and overall operational efficiency.

Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all production lines, equipment, conveyor systems, and associated areas, including floors, drains, walls, fixtures, fans, and vents, as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment to ensure thorough sanitation.
- Safely operate cleaning and support equipment such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other designated tools.
- Maintain working knowledge of equipment, production areas, and sanitation processes, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures.
- Perform CIP of production lines and clean exteriors as required.
- Accurately complete required documentation, including sanitation records, chemical usage logs, and work orders.
- Properly handle and utilize sanitation chemicals in compliance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company policies.
- Support utility functions including material handling, waste disposal, and assisting with special sanitation projects.
- Follow all company policies, GMPs, PPE requirements, and the Code of Ethics.
- Remain current on all required training, including Computer-Based Training (CBT) and job validation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.One year of manufacturing or sanitation experience preferred.Prior training in sanitation processes, chemical handling, or CIP systems is a plus.Physical Demands
Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to 60 lbs. and occasionally more than 65 lbs.Ability to stand, climb, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, twist, stoop, and bend for extended periods.Good hand-eye coordination, motor skills, corrected 20 / 20 vision, and normal range hearing.Ability to read, follow instructions, and understand SDS documentation.Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements
Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, including lockout / tagout, safe lifting, and PPE usage.Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with company standards.Immediately report any food safety, quality, sanitation, or equipment concerns to management.Food Safety
Ensure compliance with company, customer, and government food safety standards.Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities in food safety or quality systems.Identify, document, and communicate food safety or quality concerns.Control further processing of nonconforming products until deficiencies are corrected.Benefits

$23.55 Per Hour + $1.00 Shift Differential
