As a Paint Prepper, you’ll play a key role in preparing vehicles for paint and ensuring high-quality finishes. You will :
Prep trucks for paint and unmask when paintedOperate and use all body shop equipment properly and safelyRemove rust, grease, and dirt from work surfacesMask and protect parts that are not to be painted or coatedAssist Paint Technicians by sanding, masking, priming parts, and communicating progressInspect painted units for quality, identifying any imperfectionsApply paper and masking tape to protect non-painted surfacesMaintain clean and organized paint areas, prep stations, and storage roomsHelp with reassembly—installing trim, moldings, and detail piecesKeep tools and equipment in proper working conditionWear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)Comply with all safety and environmental regulations related to paint and hazardous materialsSupport team members and maintain strong communication within the body shopAdhere to and promote all Hunter Truck safety policies and the company’s culture of a safe work environmentWhat We’re Looking For
Entry-level to 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanshipAbility to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentGood communication and teamwork skillsLicenses & Certifications :
Valid Driver’s License (must meet company insurability standards)Certifications preferred : Detailing, Electronics for Collision Repair, Workplace Hazardous MaterialsPhysical Requirements
