BASIC FUNCTIONS :

Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment. This role is suited for a motivated candidate with a genuine interest in engaging with a diverse student body and a passion for fostering academic growth and knowledge. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES :

• Provide instruction according to approved curriculum and course outlines, based on college needs.
• Perform duties such as conducting classes, preparing course materials, evaluating students, developing syllabi, and assessing learning outcomes, depending on class availability, seniority, and qualifications.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance) by deadlines.
• Uphold standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competence in the field.

Applicants may qualify through education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees. To qualify via equivalency, submit transcripts and a detailed work experience description with your application.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in library science, library and information science, or the equivalent.

Applicants should demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
