Fenner Precision Polymers has an exciting internship opportunity with the Fenner New Product Textile Engineering Team at Manheim / Lititz, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for product / process / testing needs for the textile product category.
As part of the New Product Development Team, you will …….
S / he will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to :
- Conduct lab testing on technical textiles according to product development needs
- 3D model new fixtures or product models to enhance product understanding
- Learn components and processes of rapier looms
- Technical documentation :
- Updating specs to new format
- Product validation – mechanical properties like tensile, tear, EPI, PPI, weight, etc.
- 3D modeling of weave patterns
- R&D projects
- Alternative fabrics – quartz, MWPE, etc. – applications, testing
